P3 Governance Foundations

Helping governance forums become more decision-focused, effective and valuable.

Many governance forums meet regularly but add limited value. Papers are tabled, updates are noted and issues are    discussed, but the forum does not sharpen decisions, clarify accountability or improve performance. This workshop  helps new or existing forums operate as effective governance bodies.

For steering committees, program boards, portfolio committees, delivery governance groups and governance forum  members. The session focuses on the forum itself: purpose, membership, chairing, decision rights, escalation,            agenda design, paper quality, meeting practices and behaviours, challenge, decision-making and follow-through. It      can be used as an induction for new forums and incoming members, or as a reset for established forums where        meetings are frequent but value has diminished.
